Job Summary
The Security Specialist I – Badging and Credentialing Specialist is responsible for overseeing badge issuance and finalization appointments, reviewing eApp forms, recording personnel case management activities, and performing in-processing for individuals receiving badges. This role requires capturing fingerprints and photographs, managing temporary badge issuance, tracking badge processing statuses, and maintaining access level records. The specialist will handle customer inquiries regarding security issues, manage classified documents, and support additional operational security needs as directed. Proficiency in MS Office software, strong interpersonal skills, and customer service capabilities are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the area of personnel security
- Demonstrated experience in federal credentialing (HSPD-12) and access control systems
Additional Requirements
- Must have security clearance required: Secret
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug testing
