Job Summary
Security Specialist role responsible for prioritizing store safety, analyzing loss-prevention data, monitoring CCTV to deter theft, coordinating with Asset Protection and store leadership, responding to emergencies, conducting investigations, and fostering relationships with community partners. Requires sworn police officer experience with arrest authority, LEOSA credentials, firearm license, and strong communication and conflict-management skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office; preferred background in criminal justice. Role centers on maintaining a safe customer and employee environment and reducing loss through data-driven strategy and collaborative responses.
Required Qualifications
- ~1+ years full-time experience as a sworn police officer with arrest authority in a military, municipal, county, state, or federal police agency
- Possession of current HR218/LEOSA credentials
- Valid license to carry a firearm
- Valid driver’s license
- Conflict management and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Sound judgement skills and ability to manage conflict and communicate effectively under pressure
- Effective communication skills and ability to maintain composure in stressful environments
- Strong technical aptitude, including proficiency with Microsoft Office
