Job Summary
Check in and out semi-truck deliveries at the Guard House using computer software. Patrol the interior and exterior of multi-warehouse buildings, drive security vehicles around the site, and monitor CCTV systems with recording devices. Ensure client employees complete COVID health screenings and provide directions based on results. Dispatch personnel for emergency and non-emergency responses while utilizing computer-aided software. This part-time, third-shift role at a Midwest retailer's distribution center in Byron Center, MI, requires a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and CPR/1st Aid certification. Candidates must pass a background check and drug test.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- No felony convictions
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Ability to successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter
- Friendly, positive, and professional image
- Willingness to become CPR/1st Aide/AED Certified
- Valid Driver's License with a good driving record
- Less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years
- Less than 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years
- No other major violations in the last 3 years
- Ability to sit, stand or walk for the duration of the shift, including walking long distances, and possibly up and down stairs
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Readily able to respond to emergency situations
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
