Security Specialist - 3rd Shift/Weekends (Burnham)

Job Summary
Monitor live surveillance footage to detect suspicious activity, conduct property patrols to check for vulnerabilities, and manage access control points. Respond promptly to security incidents, investigate breaches, document findings, and submit detailed reports to management. Oversee security system maintenance for cameras and alarms, collaborate with law enforcement during investigations, and assist staff in training on safety protocols. This role requires a valid driver's license, Saturday through Monday shifts from 5pm to 5:30am CT, and the ability to work onsite five days a week. Join our growing security team supporting a manufacturer of heavy gauge steel fuel tanks and enclosures.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to work Saturday to Monday from 5pm - 5:30am CT hours
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in a security or surveillance role
- Strong understanding of security technologies, including CCTV systems, access control, and alarm systems
- Excellent observational and investigative skills
- Ability to assess and respond to situations quickly and effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure situations
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol properties for extended periods
- Ability to operate security equipment, including monitoring cameras and alarms
- Must be able to lift or move objects as needed
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug testing and physical test
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in security, surveillance, or first aid
