Job Summary
Supervise and coordinate quality security services on assigned shifts at a commercial building in Hudson Yards, acting as a liaison between site staff, account managers, and security officers. Provide coaching, recognition, and discipline to staff within approved empowerment ranges while managing daily interactions with the general public, clients, and internal personnel. Prepare written reports and logs, handle both common and crisis situations calmly, and utilize wireless technology at client sites. Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean record to operate a vehicle as required. Work flexible Monday through Sunday shifts across morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight rotations.
Required Qualifications
- Five years of security experience
- Supervisory experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
- Ability to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines
- Ability to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting
- Ability to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions
- Valid Driver's License
- At least one year of driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than one accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months)
- Minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy
- Ability to safely operate a vehicle
- Ability to successfully complete a background investigation
- Ability to successfully complete a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test
- Ability to pass Drivers Record check
- Intermediate computer skills
- Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
- Ability to work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
- Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
- Ability to climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
- Ability to stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
- Must be available Monday - Sunday
- Morning, Afternoon, Evening, and Overnight shifts availability
