Job Summary
Lead security operations across the Getty Center, Getty Villa, and remote locations by managing a staff of approximately 200, overseeing daily safety protocols, and directing 24/7 coverage strategies. Develop comprehensive security strategies, establish policies and standards, and serve as the primary operational leader while acting as the AVP's trusted advisor on risk and preparedness. Manage incident response, investigations, and after-action reviews; coordinate emergency disaster response planning; and represent Getty in high-level internal and external meetings during the AVP's absence. Direct staffing models, oversee training programs, and collaborate with legal, HR, and facilities to ensure compliance and mitigate risk. Provide security leadership for complex construction projects and transportation activities, maintaining strong partnerships with local, state, and federal law enforcement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Criminal Justice, Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in security, operations, visitor engagement, or similar role
- at least 5 years in a senior‐level role
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required
