Job Summary
Security Service Technician responsible for on-site and after-hours service calls, routine maintenance, and small-project installations for security and access-control systems. Duties include diagnosing and repairing malfunctioning equipment or software, implementing corrective actions, installing system upgrades, providing detailed service reports for invoicing and cost tracking, and performing custom integrations or system administration tasks as needed. Requires solid troubleshooting skills, hands-on mechanical/electrical aptitude, ability to work with cross-functional teams, and travel to local job sites. Must maintain compliance with health and safety policies and regulations, with a focus on delivering world-class customer service and solutions for protecti on of lives and assets. Knowledge of fire alarm and electronic security systems, programming capabilities, and experience with security platforms such as Milestone/Genetec/AMAG/Lenel/Genetec/CCURE/S2 is valued; willingness to learn and cross-train with other specialists is expected.
Required Qualifications
- High School/GED or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years servicing, integrating, and programming access control systems
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to travel locally to jobsites on a regular basis
- Solid technical skills related to fire alarm systems and/or electronic security systems
- Solid programming skills and troubleshooting ability
- Self-starter and able to work with direct supervision
- Experience with CCTV (Milestone/Genetec) a plus
- Experience with access control systems (AMAG/Lenel/Genetec/Software House-CCURE/S2) a plus
- Intrusion system experience (DMP/Bosch) a plus
