Job Summary
Respond to routine, scheduled maintenance, and emergency service calls to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace defective parts, and debug systems. Install projects as necessary and complete accurate service reports for customer and Convergint invoicing and job cost tracking. Utilize advanced technical skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software while maintaining awareness of customer needs. Maintain a valid driver's license and ability to travel locally to jobsites on a regular basis. Requires 5-7 years of experience servicing access control systems and advanced programming skills.
Required Qualifications
- Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure
- Advanced technical skills and experience related to fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems
- Advanced programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions
- Advanced mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper)
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple service needs simultaneously
- Highly proficient computer skills including familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- To be a self-starter and work well with minimal supervision
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to travel locally to jobsites on a regular basis
- Minimum Experience: 5-7 years servicing, integrating, and programming access control systems
- Education: High School/GED or equivalent experience

- Relevant field service
- CCTV experience: Milestone / Genetec
- Access Control experience: AMAG / Lenel / Genetec / Software House - CCURE / S2
- Intrusion experience: DMP / Bosch
