Job Summary
As a Security Service Technician at Convergint, you will respond to service calls, maintain existing systems, and assist with installations. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing security equipment, managing service reports, and engaging in preventative maintenance. You should possess solid technical skills in fire alarm and electronic security systems, with the capability to program and diagnose issues effectively. A clean driving record and local travel readiness are essential. Preferred experiences include working with CCTV, access control, and intrusion systems, along with any fire alarm certifications.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years servicing, integrating, and programming access control systems
- Solid technical skills and/or experience related to fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems
- Solid programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to travel locally to jobsites on a regular basis
- Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure
- Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools)
Desired Qualifications
- CCTV experience: Milestone / Genetec
- Access Control experience: AMAG / Lenel / Genetec / Software House - CCURE / S2
- Intrusion experience: DMP / Bosch
- Fire Alarm Systems and/or NICET 1

- Must be a self-starter and work well with direct supervision
