Job Summary
The Security Sergeant will supervise Security Department staff in the Lieutenant’s absence and ensure compliance with Gaming Regulations, Company policies, and Security procedures. Responsibilities include maintaining staff schedules and attendance, conducting training and records management, reviewing reports for accuracy, and assisting management with enforcing department regulations. Requires completion of Mesquite Gaming Security and Management Training, state Nevada gaming permits, CPR/AED, Alcohol Awareness, and a valid driver’s license; must have a high school diploma or equivalent and strong math, computer, and communication skills. Must be able to work all shifts including weekends and holidays in a casino security environment with exposure to potentially dangerous situations and secondhand smoke.
Required Qualifications
- State of Nevada Gaming Permit
- Alcohol Awareness Card
- Valid Driver’s License
- DMV Driving History Printout (no more than 30 days old)
- CPR/AED Certification
- Previous experience with Mesquite Gaming Security
- Mesquite Gaming Security Management Training
