Job Summary

Supervise daily security operations and personnel at remote client facilities, assigning posts and patrols while enforcing policies and maintaining staffing levels. Interpret security procedures, prepare employee schedules, and review incident reports to determine corrective actions. Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders, conduct investigations, and assume Incident Command responsibilities during incidents. Provide transportation using passenger vehicles, buses, and off-road vehicles, and deliver emergency medical assistance including CPR and AED use. Serve in an on-call capacity during off-duty hours and maintain post orders and operational procedures. Work in a remote, dormitory-style camp environment with frequent outdoor exposure, requiring the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and make independent decisions with limited supervision.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of five (5) years of full-time professional experience in security, law enforcement, or military service
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a related field
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years
  • Ability to obtain an Alaska Guard License prior to beginning work
  • Ability to obtain a State of Alaska Armed Guard License upon hire
  • Demonstrated training and instructional skills, including the ability to develop position-specific training and deliver quarterly general security training
  • Experience handling handguns and the ability to successfully meet State of Alaska firearms qualification requirements
  • Working knowledge of the Incident Command System (ICS)
  • Eligibility to obtain required certifications, including but not limited to TWIC and ATF Explosives Possessor credentials
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other contract-specific software applications
  • Ability to successfully complete all pre-employment requirements, which may include a hair follicle drug test, physical examination, fit-for-duty assessment, and hearing test
  • Applicant responsible for travel expenses to the nearest approved testing location if not residing near a testing facility
  • Ability to live and work in a remote, dormitory-style camp environment while maintaining camp cleanliness standards
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English in accordance with contract requirements
  • Commitment to complying with all company and client safety policies, procedures, and regulations
