Security - Senior Lead Officer - FULL TIME

Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned shifts to maintain a safe and secure workplace at Graceland, including patrolling assigned areas, monitoring CCTV, and managing crowd control. Train and motivate staff, document incidents and performance, record absences, and administer first aid while writing necessary reports. Handle guest and employee complaints, react to emergency situations, and assist new hires with onboarding. Maintain weekly staffing schedules to ensure proper shift coverage, utilizing portable radios and Microsoft Office software. Work variable hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a primary focus on the 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. shift. This role requires a Tennessee Security Certification, valid driver's license, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- demonstrated background in assigning work tasks of employees and overseeing daily operations of Security Department
- ability to provide weekly staffing schedules in order that all shifts are properly covered
- ability to train and motivate staff
- knowledge to handle security cultural, economic and educational backgrounds
- ability to listen and observe in order to meet the varying needs of guest, employees and property
- ability to handle complaints and refer to the appropriate person when necessary
- ability to react in emergency situations
- previous experience using computers and computer software
- experience with Microsoft Office programs including Excel and Word
- ability to use portable radio
- current Tennessee Certification
- a valid driver's license
- Must be flexible to work all shifts as needed
- primarily available for the 4:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. shift
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- ability to stoop, reach and lift boxes weighing up to fifty (50) lbs.
- ability to climb stairs
- ability to speak clearly and distinctly
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be able to work outside in all types of weather
Desired Qualifications
