Job Summary
Security Screening Officer responsible for inspecting bags and items with x-ray equipment, analyzing images, communicating findings to appropriate personnel, identifying and responding to suspicious items, recording incidents with accuracy, and maintaining alertness while following safety and security protocols. Requires military or law enforcement experience, NYS Security Guard License, and a High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to work Morning/Afternoon/Overnight shifts in Manhattan, NY. Shifts include 6AM-2PM, 2-10PM, and 10PM-6AM. Compensation is $25.00/hour. Requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong attention to detail, and compliance with drug testing and comprehensive background checks. May require DD214 documentation for prior military service and eligibility to work in the United States. Benefits include healthcare, dental, vision, 401(k), paid vacation, and sick time.
Required Qualifications
- Military and/or Law Enforcement experience
- New York State Security Guard License
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior professional security or screening experience
- Effective communication in English
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Background check clearance (drug test, references, employment/education verification)
- DD214 if prior military
- Ability to use screening software and equipment
- Pass extensive background check
