Job Summary
Security Screener role involves providing security screening to prevent weapons and dangerous items from entering the air transportation system using screening equipment (e.g., hand-held metal detectors) and physical inspections. Responsibilities include adhering to Government/Airport/Client/Company regulations, communicating with colleagues, participating in the Safety Management System (SMS), reporting hazards and equipment issues, performing searches, notifying Law Enforcement Officers when necessary, safely handling discovered items until LEOs arrive, reporting major incidents, maintaining cleanliness and organization, attending required trainings, and utilizing company resources responsibly. Requirements include U.S. citizenship, high school level education or equivalent, prior security/military/customer service experience, ability to read/write/understand English, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, pass pre-employment/drug tests and background checks, and proper uniform adherence. Pay is $14.00 hourly.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- U.S. citizen
- 18 years of age or older
- Previous security, military, or customer service experience
- Reliable telephone and transportation
- Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English
- Must be able to read identification badges and labels on containers
- Must be able to open/close latches and handles
- Must be able to hear alarms and respond accordingly
- Must have manual dexterity for screening tasks
- Must be able to sit, stand, lift up to 75 lbs, and bend
