Job Summary
Ensure guest safety through proactive personal interaction and removing hazards in the area of responsibility. Prevent and resolve altercations among guests while leading evacuation procedures and maintaining control by circulating through the work area. Check identification for guests under 30 drinking alcohol, inspect every guest with metal detectors or pat-downs for weapons, and enforce house policies on photos/videos. Safeguard against theft and property damage by keeping the venue clear of spills, trash, and obstacles before, during, and after the shift. Communicate clearly using radios, hand signals, and flashlights to remain in constant contact throughout the shift. Set up the area with stanchions and table configuration prior to opening.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work late hours
- Flexible schedule
- 3 years' work experience interacting with people in a positive environment
- Read, write and speak English fluently
- Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques
- Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms
Desired Qualifications
- Bi-lingual
- Cash handling experience
- Experience recognizing valid ID's
- Experience in a live music environment
- Self-defense training
- Experience using metal detection equipment
- EMT or other medical background
