Job Summary
Security & Safety Coordinator responsible for coordinating and overseeing Contractor security & safety programs across multiple sites, reviewing and approving security plans, monitoring compliance with contractual obligations and regulations, conducting site assessments, and reporting findings to PMCs and clients. Role requires experience on large-scale heavy civil or transit infrastructure projects, knowledge of OSHA regulations and NYC safety standards, and frequent field inspections to verify implementation of security measures, visitor management, perimeter protection, incident reporting protocols, and an emphasis on coordinating with project management, contractors, and client personnel. The position entails preparing executive-level security performance summaries, identifying risks and corrective actions, and serving as the primary PMC security point of contact for the client.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in security/safety management, security compliance, risk management, construction oversight, or related fields.
- Experience supporting large infrastructure, underground transportation, utility, transit, aviation, or public-sector construction programs.
- Experience reviewing security/safety plans, conducting compliance assessments, and preparing executive-level reports.
- Strong understanding of physical security principles and risk assessment methodologies.
- Excellent written communication and report development skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing experience.
- Ability to conduct field inspections in active construction environments.
