Job Summary
Lead security operations for Sydney CBD assets (QVB, The Galeries, Strand Arcade) as Security Risk Manager. Build and maintain incident preparedness and emergency response programs, act as the primary liaison between the shopping centre management team, security guarding providers, and the National Security team, and manage contractor performance and incident reporting. Accountable for regular security/risk assessments and mitigation strategies, and for fostering relationships with local law enforcement, emergency services, schools, and community groups. Requires leadership presence during peak trade periods and a roster that includes every second weekend; strong communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills; and a proactive, customer-focused approach to safety and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in security operations or a related field
- Strong understanding of modern security threats, systems, and technologies
- Experience in emergency management and contractor oversight
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills
- Organised and methodical with strong procedural discipline
- Calm, composed, and confident under pressure
- A passion for safety, education, and continuous improvement
