Security Project Technician

Job Summary
Install, program, test, and repair security, fire alarm, and building automation systems while performing customer training and certification. Interpret schematics and wiring diagrams to execute installations unassisted or with guidance, utilizing standard test instruments and hand tools. Commission new systems, analyze performance, and write routine programs. Consult with engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems and advise management on product improvements and installation standards. Coordinate with project managers to manage timelines, budgets, and scope changes while identifying risks and minimizing deviations. Maintain customer satisfaction through direct technical support and ensure all projects meet quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School/GED or equivalent experience
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to travel locally to jobsites on a regular basis
- Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Exceptional customer focus
- Ability to work under pressure
- Self-starter mindset
- Ability to work well with direct supervision
Desired Qualifications
- Willingness to learn technical skills and/or experience related to fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems
- NICET certification
