Job Summary
Install, program, test, repair, and service security, fire alarm, and building automation systems while performing customer training and certification. Commission new systems, write routine programs, and analyze performance to identify malfunctions. Interpret schematics and wiring diagrams to execute installation procedures unassisted or with assistance, utilizing standard test instruments and hand tools. Consult engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems and advise management on product performance and installation standards. Coordinate project timelines with managers, manage risks, and develop strategies to control deviations from estimated costs and deadlines. Maintain customer satisfaction through direct technical support and ensure all projects meet quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School/GED or equivalent experience
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to travel locally to jobsites on a regular basis
- Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper)
- Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to maintain awareness of and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted
- To be a self-starter and work well with direct supervision
