Job Summary
Install, program, test, repair, and service non-routine security, pneumatic, and building automation systems while reading blueprints and schematics to determine installation procedures. Commission new systems, analyze performance, identify malfunctions, and write non-routine programs. Consult with engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems and advise management on customer satisfaction and product improvements. Mentor less experienced staff and supervise workers in testing and tuning equipment. Identify project risks, communicate to appropriate parties, and assist in developing strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and deadlines. Coordinate specific projects with managers, make recommendations regarding quality and scope changes, and continuously improve customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- High School/GED or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years relevant experience
- Exceptional customer focus
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to maintain awareness of and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted
- Solid technical skills and experience with fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems
- Solid programming skills
- Proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions
- Self-starter mindset
- Ability to work well with minimal supervision
- Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings
- Solid math skills
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Advanced computer skills including familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Proficiency in other relevant applications
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to travel locally to jobsites on a regular basis
- Minimum Experience: 3-5 years relevant
