Job Summary
On-site Security Project Manager leading fire alarm projects, overseeing hardware design, software programming, installation coordination, system commissioning, and project closeout. Responsible for overall financial results of assigned projects including costs, billings, and collections, while maintaining customer satisfaction and profitability. Actively pursues change orders, coordinates customer communications through all project phases, ensures warranty execution, and provides work direction to subcontractors, electrical installers, technicians, and designers. Ensures compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements. Manages material procurement, bid pricing from vendors, and subcontractor payment/billing, with strong focus on accuracy of commissioning documentation and as-built records. The role requires coordinating technical and business issues with clients, mentors junior staff, and delivering timely reports and forecasts of revenue, costs, and gross margin.
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years Security system and Access Control installation experience
- Demonstrate working knowledge of electricity and electronics
- Aptitude for troubleshooting systems and repairs
- Ability to work independently
- High level of customer service
- Pass background check and drug screen
- Clean driving record
- High school/trade school or associate degree in a technical field involving electronics or computers
- Knowledge of project accounting, costing principles and contracting (preferred)
- Knowledge of security system programming (preferred)
- Construction experience (preferred)
- Ability to read complex building architectural, mechanical and electrical documents, as well as project plans, specifications, schedules and equipment installation/operation/troubleshooting manuals
