Job Summary
Conduct unarmed foot and vehicle patrols of hospital grounds, documenting unusual conditions and hazards. Control access and egress, monitor CCTV and alarm systems, and deter criminal activity. Assist hospital staff with de-escalation, restrain combative individuals as necessary, and transport patients to the morgue or emergency room. Support evacuations during fires, medical emergencies, and natural disasters by sounding alarms or contacting police and fire departments. Permit authorized entry, warn violators of rule infractions, and investigate incidents to prepare detailed reports. This security role operates within a healthcare facility in Morgan City, requiring a high school diploma, current driver's license, and at least two years of experience in customer service or the protective service industry. Full-time 12-hour shifts begin at $12.50 per hour, with benefits including health insurance, 401k, and ongoing paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current driver's license if driving a company- or customer-owned vehicle
- Minimum of two (2) years of verifiable employment history relating customer service or the protective service industry
- Must be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state
- Able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
- Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Problem solving skills

- Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical issues quickly and accurately

Desired Qualifications
- Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
- Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
- Bachelor's degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
- A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
- Associate's degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
