Job Summary
Conduct unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols inside and outside hospital facilities, monitoring access points, CCTV, and alarm systems while controlling egress. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations by communicating with onsite personnel and first responders, then compose reports documenting security concerns. Deter criminal activity and misconduct through regular patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeters. Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by enforcing location-specific policies and emergency response activities. Work part-time, flexible shifts including weekends and overnight rotations in Jacksonville, FL, with no guaranteed hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience
- Have at least 2+ years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field
- Hospital vaccinations are required
- Must be able to work in a hospital morgue environment
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
- Must be available to work all shifts (Day, Afternoon, Overnight)
- As needed officers for every shift - Part Time to cover vacations and calls offs
- Cannot guarantee the hours per week
- Must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law
- A tuberculosis (TB) test and certain vaccinations may be required
