Job Summary
Conduct security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle, watching for irregular conditions that may create safety hazards. Sound alarms or call police and fire departments regarding fires or unauthorized persons, and warn violators of rule infractions such as loitering or carrying forbidden articles. Permit authorized entry, monitor entrances and exits, and observe departing personnel to protect against theft. Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, maintain written logs, and make emergency notifications per site Post Orders. Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner while operating radio or telephone equipment. Work irregular shifts with little to no advance notice at a rate of $22.25 per hour. Valid driver's license required.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience
- Valid driver's license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle
- subject to a background investigation
- subject to a drug screen
- at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years, if armed)
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
