Job Summary
Conduct security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle while watching for irregular or unusual conditions that may create safety hazards. Sound alarms or call police and fire departments in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons. Warn violators of rule infractions, permit authorized persons to enter property, and monitor entrances and exits. Observe departing personnel to protect against theft and ensure authorized removal of property. Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post. Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner. Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders. Work overnight shifts (9:00 PM - 5:00 AM) from Friday through Thursday in Seneca, SC.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Security Experience 1+ years
- Great Customer Service Skills
- Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet
- High school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience
- Valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than one accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months)
- Minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy
- Ability to safely operate a vehicle
- Background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- At least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years, if armed)
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
- Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Able to write informatively, clearly, and accurately
