Job Summary
Conduct security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle, monitoring entrances and exits to permit authorized access and observe departing personnel. Watch for irregular conditions, warn violators of rule infractions, and sound alarms or notify police/fire for unauthorized persons or emergencies. Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and maintain written logs as required. Aid customers and employees in a courteous manner while adhering to site Post Orders. This role offers flexible Monday through Sunday shifts across mornings, afternoons, evenings, and overnights at a medical facility in Queens. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, hold a valid driver's license, and possess a high school diploma or five years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of verifiable experience
- Valid driver's license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle
- Background investigation
- Drug screen
- At least 18 years of age
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
- Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Active listening and problem-solving skills
- Assess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical issues quickly and accurately
- Mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy
- Teamwork
