Job Summary
Conduct security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle, watching for irregular conditions that may create safety hazards. Sound alarms or call police and fire departments regarding unauthorized persons or fires. Warn violators of rule infractions such as loitering or smoking, and permit authorized persons to enter while monitoring entrances and exits. Investigate accidents and incidents, preparing reports and maintaining required written logs. Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner and make emergency notifications as necessary. Work morning, afternoon, or evening shifts across various industries including healthcare and finance, utilizing a shift-pickup platform to build a flexible schedule. Valid driver's license and at least one year of security experience required.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years Security Experience
- Must Have Great Customer Service Skills
- Must Be Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience
- Valid driver's license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen
- Be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years, if armed)
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- Be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
- Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
- Effective oral and written communication skills; able to write informatively, clearly, and accurately
- Active listening and problem-solving skills
- Assess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical issues quickly and accurately
