Job Summary
Conduct security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle while monitoring entrances, exits, and departing personnel to prevent theft. Watch for irregular conditions, warn violators of rule infractions, and sound alarms or notify police/fire for emergencies. Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, maintain logs, and mediate conflicts with tact. Aid customers and employees in a courteous manner and make emergency notifications per site Post Orders. Work irregular shifts with little to no advance notice, including Friday through Sunday coverage from 5pm to 5am or 1am.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience
- Valid driver's license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- At least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years, if armed)
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
- Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
- Effective oral and written communication skills; able to write informatively, clearly, and accurately
- Active listening and problem-solving skills
- Assess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical issues quickly and accurately
- Mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy
- Teamwork
- Attention to detail
- Must be able to work irregular shifts at times with little to no advance notice
- Full time hours Friday, Saturday 5pm - 5am and Sunday 5pm - 1am
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic)
- Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience
