Job Summary
Conduct security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicles, monitoring entrances and exits while observing departing personnel to prevent theft. Sound alarms or contact police/fire for emergencies, warn violators of rule infractions, and investigate incidents to prepare required reports and maintain logs. Aid customers and employees in a courteous manner and make emergency notifications per site Post Orders. This role involves irregular shifts with little to no advance notice, requiring adaptability to different post assignments across healthcare, education, and finance industries in Brookhaven, MS.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of verifiable experience
- Valid driver's license
- Subject to a background investigation
- Subject to a drug screen
- At least 18 years of age
- 21 years of age if armed
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
- Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Active listening and problem-solving skills
- Assess and evaluate situations effectively
- Identify critical issues quickly and accurately
