Job Summary
Conduct security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle while watching for irregular conditions that may create safety hazards. Sound alarms or call police/fire for unauthorized persons and warn violators of rule infractions such as loitering or smoking. Permit authorized entry, monitor entrances and exits, and observe departing personnel to protect company property. Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, maintain required logs, and make emergency notifications per site Post Orders. Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner. Work irregular shifts with little to no advance notice across Healthcare, Education, and Finance sites in Spartanburg, SC. Requires 1+ year security experience, valid driver's license, and ability to operate radio/telephone equipment.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years Security Experience
- Must Have Great Customer Service Skills
- Must Be Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience
- Valid driver's license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen
- Be at least 18 years of age, or higher if required by the state (21 years, if armed)
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- Be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
- Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
- Effective oral and written communication skills; able to write informatively, clearly, and accurately
- Active listening and problem-solving skills

- Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic)
- Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience
