Job Summary
Security Product Researcher at Corelight: lead rapid prototyping of security solutions using Zeek, Suricata, and AI/LLMs; collaborate with product management, engineering, and security experts to research, design, test, and build network security products; drive projects from concept to customer deployment; leverage AI-enabled security for software development and cyber defense; cultivate new product ideas and features, and champion innovation within Corelight and its customer base. Requires 5+ years in agile full-stack development with LLM/agentic AI experience, strong networking knowledge (OSI layers 2-7) and understanding of security operations, threat hunting, and incident response; excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration; preferred SIEM experience (Splunk/Elastic) and adaptability in distributed teams; degree in Computer Science/Cybersecurity or equivalent practical experience.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in agile full-stack development with demonstrated experience in LLM and agentic AI ecosystems
- Solid grasp of cybersecurity landscape with emphasis on network detection and response
- Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple tasks, iterate rapidly with transparent communication
- Understanding of computer networking and OSI layers 2-7
- Understanding of security operations, threat hunting, and incident response procedures
- Customer-centric communication skills for internal and external stakeholders
- Preferred qualifications: hands-on experience with SIEM systems (Splunk or Elastic) and distributed-team experience
