Job Summary
Provide first response to emergencies and medical incidents while conducting armed security functions including access control, traffic control, and mobile patrols. Enforce federal and state laws by performing inspections, searches, traffic enforcement, and initiating arrests. Transport individuals and conduct personnel, vehicular, building, and facility checks in compliance with NASA regulations. Maintain DoD security clearance and follow standard operating procedures for weapons and property. Work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Current Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) or greater certification through the State of Ohio
- Must be a U.S. citizen and at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to complete the NASA Federal Arrest Authority Basic Course within the first 90 days of employment
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed
- CPR/BLS certification
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of military or law enforcement experience
- a diploma or certificate from a recognized law enforcement or physical security training academy
