Job Summary
Security Operations Manager, Americas East, based in Norther Virginia or New Albany, OH, leads security operations for EdgeConneX data centers across North America. Responsibilities include overseeing contract guard vendors, conducting site audits/post inspections, driving corrective actions to closure, managing escalations and staffing quality, supporting incident triage and documentation, ensuring adherence to EdgeConneX security standards, analyzing incident/audit trends to reduce repeats, and coordinating with customer security teams and internal/ external auditors. Requires expertise with security systems (LenelS2, Lenel, Genetec), vendor management, audits, and regulatory/compliance knowledge related to critical infrastructure. Travel up to 35% across North America.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in security management, criminal justice, business administration, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in corporate security, law enforcement, or government operations with responsibility for security programs
- 2+ years of experience supporting critical infrastructure (data centers, energy, utilities, telecom, or other complex environments)
- Experience managing outsourced security vendors, including SLAs, audits/post inspections, performance management, and QBRs
- Experience supporting third-party contracts and statements of work related to physical security services
- Experience supporting security-related audits and certification requirements (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS) including evidence collection and follow-up closure
- Comfortable working independently across shifting priorities, with clear ownership and consistent execution
