Job Summary
Monitor and analyze threats in real time using state-of-the-art tools to secure critical infrastructure from constant cyberattacks. Respond to and mitigate incidents quickly, restoring operations and limiting impact while assisting recovery efforts. Combine threat intelligence, event data, and recent assessments to identify attacker patterns and goals, guiding the team on best practices and security measures. Support 24/7 operations via a shift work schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with incident response tasks such as step identification within the IR process, remediation of security incidents that could have potential impact, and ongoing investigations
- Knowledge of basic IT forensics
- Ability to learn tier 1 SOC analyst duties and responsibilities
- Ability to support 24/7 operations via a shift work schedule
- TS/SCI clearance
- HS diploma or GED
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Elastic or Splunk
- Experience with threat hunting
- Experience with system administration
