Job Summary
Security Operations Analyst II role within Bell’s Network Operations and Engineering team, focusing on core network device lifecycle from Day 1 engineering to ongoing operational support in a highly secure environment. Responsibilities include leading engineering and operational support for core network devices, configuring Fortigate and Cisco firewalls/switches, administering authentication servers (Cisco ISE, Fortinet Authenticator), managing Infoblox DNS in Protected B environments, Cradlepoint NCOM management, circuit procurement (BID, MPLS, Wavelength), maintaining time servers, and creating technical documentation. Requires active Canadian Secret Level II security clearance, extensive Cisco/Fortinet expertise, Protected B experience, MPLS/Wavelength knowledge, leadership on Day 1 projects, automation skills for large-scale deployments, strong troubleshooting, and French proficiency for Quebec roles. Hybrid work setup based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada with minimum 3 days/month at Bell office.
Required Qualifications
- Active Canadian Secret Level II (Level II) Security Clearance
- Extensive experience with Cisco (Switching/Security) and Fortinet (FortiGate) ecosystems
- Experience with Cisco ISE, Fortinet Authenticator, and Cradlepoint NetCloud (NCOM)
- Knowledge of Government of Canada Protected B security frameworks
- Deep understanding of MPLS, Wavelength services, and circuit procurement processes
- Experience with Infoblox DNS servers
- Experience configuring Fortigate and Cisco firewalls and switches
- Administer authentication servers (Cisco ISE, Fortinet Authenticator)
- Familiarity with Bell internal networks, ticketing systems, and operational processes (preferred)
- Ability to act as Proposed Lead for Day 1 engineering projects and complex circuit deployments
- Automation experience for large-scale core device deployments
- Excellent troubleshooting for complex network outages and security policy remediation
- Proficiency in Time Servers (Atomic Clocks) for network synchronization
- French language proficiency for positions in Quebec
- Hybrid work arrangement in Ontario/Canada
