Job Summary
Monitor CCTV, access control, and alarm systems to ensure facility safety. Conduct patrols and inspections to detect hazards or suspicious activity. Enforce property access policies and verify identification for visitors and contractors. Respond to incidents, emergencies, and alarms, and coordinate with first responders. Document all activities, incidents, and maintenance issues accurately. Provide customer service and assist with directions, inquiries, and building information. This role requires obtaining an Ohio security guard card, passing a drug screen and background check, and meeting physical demands including lifting 50+ lbs and working in inclement weather. Compensation starts at $16.50 per hour with benefits including medical, dental, and 401(k) match.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Able to obtain a security guard card in the state of Ohio
- Able to meet physical essential functions of the job, which can include lifting 50+ lbs, completing foot patrols, walking up and down stairs, working in inclement weather
- Previous security experience
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift, push, and/or pull at least 50 lbs.
- Must be able to accommodate foot patrols on the interior & exterior of the assigned facility
- Must be able to perform assigned duties regardless of inclement weather
- Must be available for work in Cleveland, Ohio
