Security Officer - ZLA - PT

FAA facility Security Officer duties include physical security of FAA employees and government property, access control of personnel and vehicles, screening of visitors and shipments, enforcement of facility rules, roving patrols, incident investigations, emergency response, and monitoring via video surveillance. Requires duties such as issuing visitor badges, building and vehicle inspections, traffic and pedestrian control, gate openings, key/access card handling, and consistent communication with security teams. Must meet security- and health-related qualifications including age, U.S. citizenship, high school diploma or GED, specific security-experience options, CPR/First Aid/AED and non-lethal certification, firearm qualification, ability to obtain FAA PIV badge, valid driver’s license, and ability to work in shifts with physical endurance for lengthy periods.
