Job Summary
Conduct roving patrols of buildings and grounds, screen visitors at designated booths, and monitor security cameras and alarms. Assist new patient intake by recording belongings, applying de-escalation techniques, and facilitating physical restraint as directed by medical personnel. Enforce campus safety policies regarding contraband, alcohol, and drugs while maintaining key control and safely transporting patients using company vehicles. Investigate missing property reports, file internal documentation, and inspect rooms to ensure facility safety. Maintain a safe, culturally sensitive environment consistent with Wellbridge's mission. This on-site role requires consistent movement inside and outside campus areas, standing or sitting for extended periods, and the ability to move up to 50lbs.
Required Qualifications
- 8-hour and 16-hour OJT NYS Security Guard Program certification
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid NYS driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Strong work ethic
- Strong situational awareness skills
- Good written & oral communication skills
- Must be able to move up to 50lbs with or without assistance
- Must be able to communicate clearly verbally
- Must be able to observe and inspect areas
- Must be able to stand and sit for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Prior law enforcement experience
- Knowledge of cameras, multiplexers and integrated security alarm systems
- Knowledge of de-escalation and non-violent crisis intervention practices
- Hospital/healthcare security experience
