Job Summary
Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, drivers, and vendors at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Monitor access points, verify credentials and delivery documentation, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access-related records. Control vehicle and pedestrian access to the facility, including directing drivers and coordinating entry and exit procedures in accordance with site requirements. Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and promptly communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders. Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Desired Qualifications
- Customer service experience is preferred
- Access control and badge experience is preferred
- Loss prevention experience is preferred
