Job Summary
Enforce policies and procedures in a healthcare setting, patrol and secure facility buildings and grounds, monitor visitors, report hazards, respond to requests for assistance, and de-escalate situations. Maintains records and prepares incident reports; may escort personnel to parking areas. Requires the ability to work in highly stressful situations, prioritize calls by urgency, and comply with local laws affecting private property. Shifts include a mix of 8- and 12-hour duties with opportunities for day, evening, and overnight coverage, totaling 40 hours per week in a 14-day cycle.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- College or vocational education preferred
- Basic certification by International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety preferred within one year of hire
- Prior experience healthcare security, contract security and/or law enforcement highly preferred
