Job Summary
Patrol and inspect inside and outside exhibit areas to protect against fire, theft, vandalism, and inappropriate activity. Respond to incidents including medical emergencies, code of conduct violations, and alcohol or drug issues. Escort employees and vendors for money pickups and drop-offs. Complete daily, incident, and supplemental reports as required. Maintain courteous, helpful, and professional contact with employees, guests, and contractors. Work variable part-time shifts with no set schedule, available for nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Proficient in English; verbal and writing
- Have full and open availability to work any shift to include nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills
- Customer service driven with outstanding communication and active listening skills
- Solution oriented and not stopped by 'paper walls'
- A willingness to learn
- Level II Non-Commission Security Officer license in good standing with the State of Texas
- Position, move, and/or lift objects up to 50 pounds
- Remain stationary for prolonged periods
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Moving in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments to include tight spaces
- Able to exhibit professional judgment and decision-making skills
- Self-motivated, self-managing, adaptable to changing needs and taking on new tasks, and receptive to receiving direction
- Patient with yourself and with others, and able to work collaboratively and thoughtfully with fellow human beings
- Able to contribute to the overall happiness and health of the team and help keep the vibe alive
- Comply with company and OSHA standard workplace safety protocols
Desired Qualifications
- Bi-lingual
- First Aid, CPR, AED certified
- Techniques for Alcohol Management (TABC) certified
