Job Summary
Conduct routine patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns. Respond to incidents, student-related issues, and critical situations while providing customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Monitor access points and visitor activity, directing individuals to appropriate locations. Document observations and incidents accurately, communicating relevant information to school representatives and leadership. Maintain a visible presence to support a welcoming environment in accordance with site-specific policies and emergency response procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Desired Qualifications
- Customer service experience is preferred
- A guard card/license is preferred
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred
