Job Summary
Monitor and patrol assigned areas in a shelter environment, including common spaces, entrances, exits, and perimeters, to deter incidents and identify unusual conditions. Respond to disturbances and critical situations calmly, documenting details and reporting concerns through proper channels while supporting staff during emergencies, medical calls, and conflict-related incidents. Provide customer service to residents, staff, and visitors by carrying out security procedures, site policies, and emergency response activities, including assisting with visitor screening and rule compliance. Work day shifts from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Thursday and Sunday.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Valid driver's license (for driving positions only)
