Job Summary
Conduct routine patrols of transit facilities, platforms, entrances, corridors, and surrounding perimeters to identify and report unusual conditions. Monitor access points and public areas for unauthorized activity, suspicious behavior, and potential policy violations while maintaining a visible presence to deter security incidents. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations by notifying appropriate personnel, documenting details, and providing directions or answering questions to passengers, employees, and visitors. Assist with maintaining an orderly transit environment through professional communication and adherence to site-specific procedures and emergency response activities.
Required Qualifications
- Valid New York State Security Guard License
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Subject to a background investigation
- Subject to a drug screen
- Valid driver's license
