Job Summary
Conduct foot patrols of the hotel interior and perimeter to identify security risks, while monitoring CCTV for suspicious activity and responding to alarms. Answer security telephone and safety hotline calls, coordinate emergency responses for fires or threats, and handle policy violations to ensure guest and staff safety. Assist guests with door lock issues, screen personnel entering exits, and manage lost and found items. Provide accurate directions and escort guests or employees to parking lots as required. Maintain a neat appearance, wear appropriate PPE, and comply with all health and safety regulations. Work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays to reflect hotel business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to walk, climb stairs, bend, stoop, and kneel
- Verbal communication skills using pager and two-way radio
- Calm, rational, and persuasive manner
- Clear, concise speaking voice
- Empathy in listening
- Ability to document legibly
- Knowledge of life safety systems including layout of entire building, alarm pull stations, fire extinguishers, and sprinklers
- Regular attendance
- Ability to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
- Ability to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
