Job Summary
Patrol all facility areas, clinics, and grounds to deter unauthorized activity while monitoring surveillance systems and responding to alarms. Provide assistance to visitors by giving directions, answering questions, and escorting individuals as needed. Investigate and document reports of suspicious activity, safety concerns, and security violations, ensuring accurate incident reporting. Respond promptly to emergencies and incidents, taking appropriate actions to resolve issues safely. Secure property by locking doors, windows, and gates after hours and verifying access points. Direct traffic, enforce parking regulations, and assist with crowd control during events or emergencies. Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and facility leadership during security-related situations. Maintain regular attendance and comply with all safety policies and standards.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field
- BCLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI)
- Alaska: Security Guard license
- Arkansas: Private Security Officer (PSO) registration or Commissioned Security Officer (CSO) license
- Arkansas: Arkansas Boiler Operator license
- Arkansas: Successful completion of assigned SAMA course within 30 days of employment
- Florida: Valid Florida Class "D" Security Officer license
- Florida: Successful completion of assigned SAMA course within 30 days of employment
- Georgia: Completion of a 24-hour Basic Security Officer Training program approved by the Georgia Board of Private Detective & Security Agencies
- Georgia: Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
- Indiana: Successful completion of assigned SAMA course within 30 days of employment
- Mississippi: Successful completion of assigned SAMA course within 30 days of employment
- New Mexico: Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
- New Mexico: Successful completion of assigned SAMA course within 30 days of employment
- North Carolina: Successful completion of assigned SAMA course within 30 days of employment
- Oklahoma: Valid Oklahoma unarmed or armed security guard license issued by CLEET
- Oklahoma: Successful completion of assigned SAMA course within 30 days of employment
- Pennsylvania: Successful completion of assigned SAMA course within 30 days of employment
- Texas: Successful completion of assigned SAMA course within 30 days of employment
Desired Qualifications
- IAHSS - Certification As A Security Officer
- Facility Security Officer Certification
- Class "G" Statewide Firearm license
