Security Officer Temporary Shelter

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a shelter location in Jamaica, NY. Respond to incidents, resident concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, floors, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and assist with maintaining an orderly environment for residents and guests. Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately in required logs and reports, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
