Job Summary
Conduct security and public services for hospital staff, patients, and visitors, serving as a visible deterrent to illegal activities on property. Supervise at-risk patients within the hospital environment and perform other job-related duties as assigned. Maintain safety standards while upholding the client's and community's values. This role requires a high school diploma, valid driver's license, and strong vision abilities including color and depth perception. You must be able to stand, walk, and lift objects up to 80 lbs. for an entire shift. Schedule varies with client needs, potentially exceeding 40 hours and covering any day of the week. Compensation is $22.00/hr plus differentials.
Required Qualifications
- Completed High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications
- Strong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift
- Must be able to move or lift objects up to 80 lbs.
- Must be able to help restrain or lift a person
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to meet Tarian company's driving guidelines if applicable
- Ability to meet qualification standards when initially placed in a TASER position and annually thereafter
- Ability to obtain and maintain any applicable local or state license or permit to carry a TASER
- Ability to participate in and pass additional TASER training at the discretion of the TASER instructor and/or Tarian company
- Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of the Tarian company's Conducted Energy Weapon (TASER), Tarian company's Taser Policy
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for variable amounts of time throughout an assigned shift
- Must use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls
- Must reach with hands and arms
- Must climb stairs
- Must occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Must occasionally lift and/or move objects 25 pounds or more
