Job Summary
Conduct security patrols, monitor access control, and provide customer assistance to uphold hospital safety and serve as a visible deterrent to illegal activities. Supervise at-risk patients and perform other job-related duties as assigned while maintaining the security of staff, patients, and visitors. Maintain a valid driver's license and meet Tarian driving guidelines if applicable. Work hours vary depending on client schedules and may exceed 40 hours across any day of the week. This role requires standing, walking, and lifting objects up to 80 lbs. Taser qualifications are essential for this position, including obtaining and maintaining a license to carry a Taser and passing annual training.
Required Qualifications
- Completed High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications
- Strong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift
- Must be able to move or lift objects up to 80 lbs.
- Must be able to help restrain or lift a person
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to meet Tarian driving guidelines if applicable
- Ability to meet qualification standards when initially placed in a Taser position and annually thereafter
- Ability to obtain and maintain any applicable local or state license or permit to carry a Taser
- Ability to participate in and pass additional Taser training at the discretion of the Taser instructor and/or Tarian
- Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of Tarian's Conducted Energy Weapon (TASER), Tarian's Taser Policy
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for variable amounts of time throughout an assigned shift
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to climb stairs
- Ability to occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move objects 25 pounds or more
