Job Summary
Conduct patrols, monitor access, deter unauthorized entry, and enforce security measures while responding promptly to emergencies, medical issues, and client requests. Collaborate with the Security Operations Center by reporting suspicious activity, security violations, and assisting with initial responses. Verify identification of employees, vendors, or guests, control access using credentials, and document events in detailed Daily Activity Reports or Incident Reports. Perform light front desk duties including greeting visitors, providing directions, and creating a positive first impression. De-escalate situations with courtesy and professionalism while maintaining a collaborative environment with workplace teams.
Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible for employment within the United States
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old per state licensing guidelines
- Must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug screening
- Must live within driving distance or be willing to relocate
- Must have a current BSIS guard card or be eligible to qualify for a guard card
- Must have a high school degree or equivalent
- Must have a current CPR & First Aid certification or be eligible to qualify for a certification
- Demonstrated competence in reacting to and handling emergencies
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders
